The Secret to Success as a Failure will point out the value of not always getting what you want despite your perceived "deserving." Discussing the psychological aspects of failure, the instructor's personal experience as a failure, the discussion of celebrity's failures, and the participant's experience with failure will change our perception of what failure can mean to us. Mindset about failure should evolve to demonstrate or reinforce the value of failure in everyone's success. The course will rely on established theory and participant discussion to achieve these objectives.
Learning Objectives:
The participant shall be able to provide personal examples of growth that came from their failures and detail long term benefits from having failed.
The participant will be able to articulate the mindset needed to fail forward to others including their subordinates and peers. These concepts can be employed in their encouragement of themselves and other to foster succession planning and continuity of service.
The participants should be better positioned to evaluate future failure in a way that directs them toward a future success. The participant will understand how to frame success in order to better identify its existence.
