Dr. Anthony W. Wade is an executive management consultant with WPR Consulting, LLC. A retired U.S. Air Force Veteran and a retired North Carolina local government senior executive, he has more than 40 years of applied experience in human resources, talent management, human relations, and diversity, equity, and inclusion. Dr. Wade has worked with organizational and community leaders and stakeholders in the public, private, nonprofit, higher education and military sectors to align progressive programs and services with progressive goals, needs and objectives.
Wade earned a PhD in Education and Human Resource Studies with a specialization in Organizational Performance and Change from Colorado State University at Fort Collins. He is also a graduate of the Department of Defense Equal Opportunity Management Institute, the Advanced Practitioner in Mediation (APM) Program from the Institute of Advanced Dispute Resolution, and Cornell University’s Diversity and Inclusion Certificate Program. By the authority of the Secretary of the Army, Dr. Wade is also certified as an Army Equal Employment Opportunity Counselor with shared certification acknowledgement across all U.S. federal agencies.
Wade has been involved in the work of human/civil rights as well as organizational diversity, equity and inclusion since 1981. His work with the United States Air Force resulted in his Equal Opportunity Treatment/Human Relations Education (EOT/HRE) program being selected as the top EOT/HRE installation-level program throughout the USAF’s Air Education and Training Command and the number two Air Force program worldwide. His recent work with the military was recognized by the U.S. Army’s 73rd Ordnance Group in 2015, and by the Commanding General of the 82nd Airborne Division in 2021. He is the recipient of numerous miliary and civilian achievement awards and commendations, as well as resolutions of outstanding service from municipal and county governments, the most recent being the 2023 Lifetime Achievement Award from the Fayetteville - Cumberland Human Relations Commission in North Carolina.
