One of the greatest needs in the Fire Service is changing Organizational Behavior that produces the highest performance and results from all team members within the organization. Key to making those changes is developing leadership skills that can inspire members to be part of high-performance teams.
This program will explore what is takes for leaders to develop effective teams in the fire service. Leadership and team building are not inherent traits but rather skills that can be developed.
The focus of this presentation is on the essential elements necessary to become effective leaders and team builders and will provide real life applications that the participant can use as “takeaways” that will help them be effective leaders.
This presentation is geared towards company officers as well as chief officers and will discuss the importance of becoming a student of leadership, continually developing techniques to build teams and lead the men and women in our fire service.
Leaders must understand how their intentions as well as their actions define them. Understanding situational awareness in the critical decision-making process and rules of engagement for effective team building skills essential for today’s leader.
